The Lahaina wildfires in August 2023

The Lahaina wildfires in August 2023 are the deadliest in U.S. history and devastated the Lahaina community. It will take the support of many to ensure that Lahaina is properly rebuilt with a focus on equity and centering the families from Lahaian. Please join us in this mission to restore Lahaina. Mahalo.

Hua Momona Foundation

The Foundation aims to strengthen and expand Maui’s charitable efforts by engaging in agriculture-focused initiatives. This includes donating food products, serving hot meals at community distribution points, sharing fresh local produce from partner farms, accelerating efforts to replace housing, supporting mental health programs, participating in impactful fundraising events, and is now launching a youth music program with a ukulele ensemble consisting of young people from Lahaina. To date, the foundation has served nearly 100,000 hot, fresh meals to those impacted by the Lahaina Fires. The Foundation seeks key benefactors to make charter investments to fortify its sustainable platform, enabling self-funded, high-impact operations with a special focus on ongoing Lahaina recovery efforts.
